Senior Abuse

Tragically, senior abuse happens, and often goes unreported. A strong outreach program to seniors provides another opportunity to identify and stop abuse.

There is nothing that gets Steve’s attention more than learning that someone has been taken advantage of, or worse, abused. Steve has twenty-two years experience helping the federal government hold persons and entities responsible for their criminal behavior, and protecting private industry from persons who intentionally set out to commit crimes.

Steve has gained national media attention protecting the rights of average Americans and on the Council will be the strongest voice for those who are victims of any type of abuse.

On the Council Steve will advocate for seniors by:

Finding new ways to alert seniors and their families to the dangers of senior abuse.

Publicizing the fact that all assisted living facilities and nursing homes are not equal. The Federal Government publishes on-line statistics of all facilities that accept Medicare, and comparisons can easily be seen across all such facilities.

Working to foster public/private partnerships which could provide innovative solutions for locating persons at risk.

Vigorously pursuing scam artists who prey upon seniors.
