Fire and Rescue Service
The Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service ("MCFRS") has proven time and again that it can be counted on when it is needed most. It's is nationally accredited and some of its members have received national recognition for their outstanding service with regard to training and safety.
The MCFRS receives approximately $200 million dollars per year, responds to approximately 100,000 emergency calls for service and has approximately 1300 paid staff.
On the Council, to keep the MCFRS strong, Steve pledges to advocate for:
Funding of all necessary equipment to maintain the County's existing response times.
Improved management of overtime and volunteer services.
